Total Coach™ System

SilverLeaf has long been providing "one-stop shopping" for all the engine and chassis information that a coach owner could desire.  Now we're also offering the same sort of intelligent integration for the rest of the coach.  Our Total Coach™ System ties together the Inverter, Generator, Transfer Switch, Tank Levels, and much more to provide a smart, simple way to automate, monitor, and control your coach.

The center of the system is the Total Coach Monitor.  This graphic control panel can be compared to an extra-large VMS for the galley.  LEDs provide instant indicators of the status of every system, and detailed information is never more than a keystroke away.  In fact, a single press of a button will start or stop the generator, inverter, water pump, or any other device that is part of the system.  It is simple and very convenient.

The Total Coach System is modular, and SilverLeaf customizes the system for each RV manufacturer.  In addition to the monitor, the system generally includes the PM-002 Total Power Management module, and the TM-101 Coach System Management module.  A VMS or Glass Dash in the dash can also be tied in, giving the driver full control over the house systems from the comfort of the cockpit.

With the PM-002 installed, the system can monitor the generator, transfer switch, and inverter/charger.  Temperatures, amperes and voltages, rpms, loads, and much more are available to the monitor.  Every parameter normally accessed through standalone panels becomes available on the VMS and Total Coach Monitor in a graphic, easy-to-read format. And many readings that were otherwise hidden are now in plain view.

Of course it also provides full diagnostics for all these components, always in plain language.

The PM-002 uses the information it draws from the generator and inverter/charger to provide intelligent power management. When the voltage reaches a set level (all the settings are easy to adjust through the VMS), it automatically starts the generator and runs it until the charger indicates it is done. It respects "Quiet Time", and even tops off the batteries just before quiet time start, so you don't run out of power in the middle of the night.  It can also be programmed to start the generator to cool the coach when required. It can even be set to exercise the generator on a schedule when you put the coach in storage. It is the most sophisticated - and easy to use - genstart system available.

The TM-101 monitors the water and waste tanks, LP gas, and other coach systems.  Many RV builders also use it to provide a smart water fill feature, and to control the water pump, basement heat, and other coach features.  The TM-101 uses pressure sensors to gauge the tank level.  These sensors can't be fouled, and are accurate to within just a percent or two, depending on the tank geometry.
